Signing in, your name, and signing out
A plain-English tour of every button and message on your hours page — what each one is, how to use it, and what happens after you tap it. This is a help page only; nothing here changes your hours.
The page is private. It only opens after you sign in, and it only ever shows your own reports — never anyone else’s.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”- What it is — You sign in with your own staff account — a username and password. On your very first sign-in you’ll be asked to change a temporary password to one only you know.
- How to use it — Open the hours page. If you’re not signed in, it sends you to the sign-in screen automatically, then brings you right back here.
- Watch out — If you “can’t log in,” it’s almost never a locked account — it usually means your staff account hasn’t been set up yet, or you still need to set your own password on first sign-in. Ask the office (Zoe) to set you up rather than looking for a PIN.
The header — logo and ← All tools
Section titled “The header — logo and ← All tools”- What it is — The little moose logo (top-left) and the
← All toolslink both go to the same place: the list of all staff tools. - What happens — Tapping either one leaves the hours page and opens the tools menu. The header stays pinned to the top as you scroll.
Signed in as {your name}
Section titled “Signed in as {your name}”- What it is — A small line in the header confirming which account you’re signed into.
- Watch out — It’s blank for a moment while the page loads, then fills in with your name. That’s normal — it’s not a sign anything’s wrong.
Log out
Section titled “Log out”- What it is — The rounded
Log outbutton on the right of the header. - What happens — It ends your session and returns you to the sign-in area. Use it on a shared phone or tablet so the next person can’t see your hours.
🔒 Change my password
Section titled “🔒 Change my password”- What it is — A link at the very bottom of the page.
- How to use it — Tap it to set a new password on the separate change-password screen. Choose one only you know.
