Why does it look like that?

A few things surprise people the first time. Here’s the short reason for each.

Flex hours don’t change my pay?

Right. Flex is the small over/unders that even out over time; pay is your scheduled days minus unpaid leave. They’re kept in two separate tallies on purpose so a 20-minute late stay never quietly changes your cheque.

Why did my 3-hour report bounce back?

Flex is capped at 2 hours per report. The menu still lists 2.5, 3 and 4 hours, but anything over 2 hours is treated as real leave — the office needs to record it that way. Ask Zoe.

Why can’t I file a day off?

The form only lets you file “worked extra” or “worked less” flex. Whole days off and unpaid leave affect your pay, so the office records those — not you.

Why didn’t my balance move?

A flex report only banks into your balance after Zoe approves it. While it’s still pending, the number doesn’t move yet — once she approves it, it counts. (Flex also only counts from July 1, 2026 onward.)

“You already filed this for that day”?

You can only have one live report of the same kind on the same day. If you see this message, your earlier one is already in My recent reports — no need to file it again.
